About Us >


Hello and welcome to Ocean Breeze Dachshunds. Thank you
for taking your time to read about us and our goals with
our Dachshunds. We are a small, family Breeder of
miniature Dachshunds located in St.Augustine which is
between Daytona & Jacksonville on the north-east coast of
Florida. My name is Nicole & my husband is Lyle. Our love
for the breed began a little over 7 years ago. Since that time
we have been working towards our goal of being owned by
a few beautiful representatives of the breed to love and
then having our own breeding program. This dream has
recently taken shape for us and we are proud of what we
have accomplished thus far and looking forward to a
lifelong commitment to the breed.

In the future I hope to show our dogs in agility and
Earthdog events. I simply can not fulfill this dream yet, as
parents of 3 young children our time is limited but we are
looking forward to pursuing this once they are older. If you
are not familiar with the "Earthdog" events you might want
to look into it yourself, it can be very fun! I believe that is
why I am drawn to the Dachshund breed, the fun. My
oldest son is very interested in becoming a handler and my
youngest son wants to be an animal trainer. Our love for
animals as a family has really lead me to finding my way to
becoming a breeder.  

As mentioned above, we are parents to 3 children. They are
a very important part of us raising these pups. Our pups
that we are raising as well as the ones we can provide for
your family are all very socialized and kid friendly thanks in
part to my children and to their friends that come over.

This is our "not a Dachshund" Sophia.
She is our Guardian our Love and truly our family companion.
She turned 5 years old this past August, being only 3 months
older than our daughter, she has grown up right along side
of our children. The joy she adds to our family is
indescribable. Her personality is true to her Golden Retriever
breed. If you have the opportunity to pick up your puppy
from our home then you will also have the pleasure of
meeting her.

My Nana, Dorothy Sullivan, March 1975 with her multiple
award winning Lilac Point Siamese, Diana "D". My
Grandmother took great pleasure in raising, breeding and
showing her Siamese cats. Newfoundlands were another
passion of hers.
